EB Nashua's Board Of The Week: Young Guns

Topsheet Detail. Sharks in the water...
Continuing on with our "board of the week series" we figured that we'd bring you a board for the young ripper as well. As Mulch mentioned, Burton got it right by putting the "big size" graphic on the smaller young guns boards, smart. So if you're a little bit younger, or if you happen to be a smaller teen, you don't have to ride a kiddy graphic. That being said, The Burton DOMGrom Rips. Coming in at only $249.99 the DomGrom packs tons of bang for the Buck.

Topsheet Detail. Burton is committed to giving you a more "surf-like" feel with the V-Rocker
The Burton DomGrom gives you a True Twin Tip snowboard using Burton's new V-Rocker. Burton's V-Rocker is a three-stage rocker that’s equally fun from park to pow, V-Rocker features a center rocker between your feet, with additional rockers outside each foot that lift the tip and tail completely off the snow. This allows you better pressing on boxes and rails, catch free turn initiation (great for entry level riders), and a all-over looser feeling snowboard.

DomGrom Base Detail
A softer Biax Glass and a tip to tail wood core, alongside Burton's low-maintenance Lightspeed base, this thing is perfect for the park rat that wants to ride his snowboard til the day it dies...

All of the Burton Grom boards come with a Free Ticket to Ride and a Free Lesson at one of Burton's participating resort, that alone will run you half the price of the board, so Burton is really hooking you up...

You can check out the Burton DomGrom at EasternBoarder.com or Check out any of the EB brick and mortar locations

EB Nashua's Board Of The Week: Guys

An immediate classic inducted into the EB, Loon, NHD, and New England scum hall of fame, the Rome Postermania 1985 has seen a lot of talk here in the shop. The Postermania is a true twin, softer freestyle board with Rome's Free Camber. Rome's free camber gives the board a long mid-body of reverse camber combined with straight camber in the nose and tail, delivering the ideal blend of playfulness and control on edge. This allows you to ride a catch free board with a playful skateboard feel, but still allows you to rail turns when you're charging on the way to the park. A 2 degree bevel allows you to keep your edges sharp to turn and still be able to slappy noseslide the rail in the park.
Upclose topsheet detail.

While the Postermania has a softer bi-axial glass layup, Rome gives you a carbon V in the tip in tail, allowing you to still ollie the slow signs at Pat's Peak.A quick glance at the board under the heat lamps that we have here to keep us slim and you will see the impact plates beneath the insert patterns on the Postermania. These thinly milled Titanal aluminum plates under the binding area fight against core compressions. This patent-pending technology increases strength 2.5 times. To put it simply..a stronger board under foot.

Rome Gives you a little run-down of tech on each of their board's topsheets...
The art on the Postermania was done by Rome designer, NHDirt, and EB homeboy Shawn Dumont. Good Job Shawn. Board looks so rad.

Here's what Rome Has to say about the Postermania...
Press a box. Float pow in either direction. Spin with control. Tap a stump. Surf. Throw a carve. Butter. The Postermania combines a Reverse-Free camber profile with a Carbon V stringer that adds snap off your tail edge, and balanced, more powerful ollies. The result is the poster child of reverse camber boards that have a habit of dropping hits of fun all over the hill.

Product Check: DC Boots.

Boots are the most important part of your set-up. No matter what anyone else tells you, that is the truth, and the dudes from DC know this, and completely re-vamped their boot line for the 2010 season. With a new boot designer in house and tons of hard work, those dudes are bringing you some solid boots at solid pricepoints. All of the DC boots utilize a 1 to 1 ratio, making it so that for every full size or half-size liner, there is a liner designed specifically for that size (so your sz.10 DC Boot has a sz.10 DC liner in it. Makes sense, right?) Notice that NONE of the liner have ANY stitching across the toe-box or on the bottom of the liner, giving the rider (you) a seamless fit.

DC's highest end lace boot, The Journey, is 100% team driven, and definitely Team ridden. The Journey packs tons of tech into this $249.99 boot, and it shows in the fit. The Journey comes with a gel-injected footbed, giving you some padding from hitting jumps and riding rails. This goes on top of the EVA outsole with a an Airbag in the heel, talk about protection. The Journey's liner comers equipped with Outlast technology, which operates as a temperature regulator, making sure that your feel feel comfortable in all conditions. The heel of the liner is comprised of directional fiber, and alongside DC's built-in J-Bars, the heel hold in the Journey is incredible. The Alpha liner also comes stock with a fully integrated heel hold support system. This boot fits DAMN good, and is something that you will definitely want to wear session after session, season after season...
DC's take on the Journey...One of the team’s favorites boots! Cushioning, support, flex, and overall design make the Journey an obvious choice, whether you’re a park kid or backcountry charger.

The DC Rogan comes in at $179.99 and is truly a boot for the snowboarder's snowboarder. Team designed to ride the entire hill and look like a skateboard shoe, this boot is for the dude that wants to get on the lift, ride trails with the fam, cruise the park with the homies, and repeat until their legs can't handle it anymore. The Rogan comes with DC's Command Heel Hold and a full internal liner harness, making sure you don't get any heel lift while makin' laps with the crew. This is how DC describes the Rogan...
Rider-inspired. Skate-influenced. Performance-driven. The Rogan maintains the right amount of flex, comfort, and support to allow riders to hit all spots on the mountain no matter what the conditions.
The Rogan's internal heel harness
The DC Command Liner. Good Heel hold and solid support
At $129.99 the Phase comes in as DC's price-point boot. Built for the entry-level rider or the park rat that doesn't wanna blow all his dough, this boot is solid as hell. The Phase comes in with a 1 to 1 ratio with built in structure for ankle support. At 129.99 you are getting a solid boot with good heel hold, and a skate shoe look. Here's what DC has to say about the Phase
The Phase is a great snowboard boot with skate shoe aesthetics that’s ready for the mountains. Inspired by DC’s Manteca shoe, it has been redesigned with a lo-profile performance outsole and P.U. coated textile and synthetic leathers.
