Seen in multiple boots from multiple manufactures, the articulating cuff is integrated into a boot to allow for a true true flex, reducing the amount of heel lift that may come from a boot bowing out around your ankle. An articulating cuff, often called a flex hinge, is designed to allow the boot to flex naturally and true throughout.

The articulating cuff is offered throughout the Burton and K2 lines, which are already in the shop. Come try some on and check em out.
