Board Check: Rome Artifact 1985

Rome has introduced their new Artifact 1985, and we figured that we'd get the info to you guys (and gals) and let you know what's going on up in Waterbury, VT.
Top sheet from the 150cm model
Base from the 150cm model
The Rome Artifact 1985 is reverse camber. Flat between the feet, reverse camber in the nose and tail. This allows for catch free takeoffs and landings, better presses, and an overall more skateboard-like feel.
The edges on the Artifact 1985 are brass. Brass is a softer metal than steel (normally used for edges) and this allows for a smoother sliding, more catch free rail experience.

Here's what Rome has to say about this ride...
Go Shred or Go Home—if the Bones Brigade crew took a time warp to the slopes of Big Bear in 2010, they’d probably all be pushin’ the retina-bursting Artifact ‘85s. The camber profile’s flat mid section gives between-the-feet stability for locking into backlips, while the reverse camber tip and tail make for perfect 5-0s. A Reverse-V glass stringer adds ollie pop while still maximizing the loose, press-happy nature of the reverse camber profile.
